EUGENIA PIKOVSKY
VIOLIN
One of the most sought after violinists in Israel and winner of the 1993 Vittorio Gui and Vercelli International Violin Competitions, Yevgenia has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in the concert halls of USA, Israel, Russia, Poland, Italy, France. In 1993 she made her debut appearance with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Metha.
In 1997, after studies in USA, Yevgenia Pikovsky founded the Chamber Ensemble Millennium, in Targ Music Center in Jerusalem. With this group she has recorded two CDs and appears in numerous live broadcasts of Kol Hamusica, Israel’s classical music channel.
Ensemble “Quatro Plus” was established in 2003 with the leading members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Yevgenia and her outstanding team performed in well-known festivals in Israel, including 2nd Jerusalem International Chamber, Israel Festival and abroad, in USA, Asia and Europe.
In June 2006 Ms.Pikovsky became Concertmaster of Bern Symphony Orchestra, Switzerland, and during the seasons 2006-2008. In summer 2006 Yevgenia appeared as a soloist in Subscription Concerts with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and from 2009 has been a member of the faculty staff and orchestra coach in Jerusalem Academy of Music. Recently she is taking an active part in a collaboration between the IPO and Tel Aviv Academy Orchestra, coaching violin students for orchestra projects.
